Final Client Meeting/Heartbeat Retro

So as the title says, today was the last meeting we had with our client. Before doing so , we had our stand-up meeting, everyone was feeling a bit anxious to know whether our client would like the product. Everything was complete at this point and so, nothing extra was mentioned, we played back our product to check it was good, and gathered everything waiting for our client.

Our client then came over and the presentation begun, with us showing our final product, we were quite happy that the voice was in sync with the moving images and it expressed the information clearly across to the audience, as well as hitting exactly the 3 minutes marks. Once the product was inspected we received our feedback which was very positive. A few points were mentioned such as:

– It was good that the voice was adjusted and slowed down

– Finding Powtoon and learning how to use it was excellent

– It was easy to watch, better than a power point presentation

And then we moved onto talking about the process.

How we found it and and how do we think it could be useful in the future. We mentioned that it is great for fast incremental improvement, it helps to establish a good team relation without the need of a leader, and it addresses all small tasks very clearly, resulting in everything being completed and nothing being missing, as the stories are easy to see on the story-map.

With these point all left to do is our Reflection, and that is the project done.

We have found it incredibly fun, and at no point was it tedious, all members contributed well and our product in our eyes looks great. I definitely understand now, why many software companies use an Agile methodology.

Improvement of Artefacts/Video is Complete!

Our regular stand-up meeting took place today as normal.

Vivian showed the final script which she had produced, Socrates had worked on the video since the last meeting, and Ivan had also. And as for me, I had completed the final storyboard, which included just one scene, as the other storyboards covered the rest of the video.

One problem was bought up during the stand-up meeting. And it was something serious, the length of the video was too long and the scene transition was proving to be buggy when playing the video.

However we quickly worked together and addressed these problems, cutting the voice over even more, and changing some parts of the video so the transition was smooth.

Now we finished the video by adding a small ‘Thank you for watching scene’ and that’s the video presentation done. It looked great, and was exactly 3 minutes, which was perfect. With this we ticked off our final user story, being the presentation, completing our user story map’s life cycle.
